Breathtaking classic cars, the stunning South Downs, and an evening of festivities makes the Hope Classic Rally one of our favourite days of the year!
Taking place last Friday, the annual Hope Classic Rally is a truly unique event that combines a celebration of all things classic cars with raising vital funds towards our work supporting vulnerable children across East Africa.
A huge thank you is in order to all who joined the Rally and supported us further through the auction. Your kindness and generosity helped to raise over £200,000, a staggering amount which will have an incredible and far-reaching impact throughout the communities we work with.
This year, the rally kicked off at the Elvetham, an award-winning country house hotel, where all guests had their first glimpse of the lineup of iconic classic cars. Over breakfast, the excitement really built before the big reveal and everyone found out which car they were handed the keys to for the day.
Setting off in a convoy to behold, the drivers took on a carefully planned route featuring some of the finest roads and best views of the Hampshire countryside and South Downs National Park. The White Horse in Graffham was the perfect backdrop for this year’s pitstop lunch and a chance for guests to really soak up the atmosphere of the day.
After driving back to the Elvetham, an incredible day in the sun was rounded off with a drinks reception and dinner hosted by TV personality Simon Thomas, featuring Q&As with our founder, Wendy Wall MBE, and Richard Tuthill of Tuthill Porsche. The evening culminated in a live and silent auctions featuring a wide variety of exciting prizes.
Each year, we are blown away by the support and commitment shown towards our work by all at the Hope Classic Rally. Thank you again to everyone who came along, the event sponsors, and board and organising committee for truly making it a day to remember.
We hope to see you all again next year for the 10th edition of the rally, it promises to be a BIG one!
