PHIL’S GIVING CIRCLE
Join Phil’s community giving circle supporting our Child Headed Household Programme in Malawi.
How much you would like to give – and if you would like to make it a regular thing – is totally up to you.
Whatever you decide, we really appreciate any support you can give and will be sure to report back to the circle about the collective impact you’re having.
For context, in the communities where we work in Malawi:
- On average there are three to four children in every child-headed household, and it costs £300 for a household to be part of the programme a year.
- £15 is enough to provide a household with seeds, fertiliser and agricultural training to get their own food garden up and running.
- £30 is enough to provide a household with a goat, a vital economic safety net as not only do they provide a food source and manure for fertiliser, but also offspring that they can sell.
- £60 is enough to provide a household with a bicycle or cooking equipment which they can use to earn an immediate source of income.
