12th April 2024
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lindsay Boswell as our Interim CEO.
At the end of April, Lindsay will take the reins from our long-term leader, Mark Glen, who is stepping down after 18 years in the role.
Lindsay brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of charity leadership, spanning three decades. This has included time as London Director for the Prince’s Trust Volunteers, Director of Operations at Raleigh International and CEO of the Institute of Fundraising from 2000 to 2010.
For the past 13 years, Lindsay has been CEO of the food charity, FareShare. Under his stewardship, the charity’s scope and reach massively expanded. Highly-respected for all that he achieved there, in 2023 Lindsay was named Charity CEO of the Year.
Lindsay is now working closely with Mark to ensure the smooth transition of responsibility and continue the momentum of our ongoing initiatives.
He explains: “I am delighted to come on board and am really looking forward to my time here. It has been so enriching to get to know more about all that WeSeeHope does and aims to achieve. I am committed to continue leading with integrity and passion, and am excited to work with the team and partners.”
Lindsay joins at a really exciting time for the organisation, with the expansion of our Child Headed Households Programme and fundraising events including the annual Hope Classic Rally and Golf Day on the horizon.
Mark highlights: “After so many years leading this wonderful organisation, it is with great sadness that I say goodbye. But I know WeSeeHope will be in very safe and capable hands with Lindsay in the interim, and with our hardworking and committed team.”
Alastair Mills, Chair of WeSeeHope, concludes: “On behalf of the trustees and team, I’d like to pay tribute to Mark for his many years of service to WeSeeHope; nothing this organisation has achieved would have been possible without his thoughtful, determined and principled leadership. His are very big shoes to fill, but we have no doubt Lindsay will rise to the challenge.”
